Social Media Manager

We are looking for our next associate to join the Icelandic Glacial marketing team, leading social media efforts and event activation for the brand. Reporting into the head of marketing, you will maintain strong peer relationships with the brand manager, sales team, global Icelandic Glacial team and external agency partners as we push towards high growth for the company.  

Social Media Manager responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Develop and execute our social media content strategy across all channels
• Work with internal and external partners to develop content to engage our consumers
• Stay on top of the ever-evolving trends, and bring fresh ideas to the table
• Build relationships that foster cross-promotions, giveaways and brand partnerships
• Own the brand’s influencer outreach efforts
• Own the social media metrics
• Attend and help coordinate all industry and consumer facing events for the brand, both industry and consumer facing events
• Identify social media opportunities to maximize event activations, inclusive of social media content, influencers, brand partnerships, giveaways, etc.
• Work closely with PR team to maximize event activation ROI

What you’ll need to succeed:

• 2-3 years in consumer marketing working on a brand or at an agency managing a brand’s social media accounts. Strong preference for food/bev experience.
• Possess knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing. Marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience.
• Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media.
• Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
• Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of all social media platforms
• Experience in event planning and execution a plus
• Excellent communication skills
